Hello again and thank you for fast answers and great interest.
Coup de pied bas - or the shortest known kick (regularly used in savate tournaments). It is very dangerous because it attacks shins and ankles. It is very fast and you can not see it because of a very short distance beetwen two fighters when it is used.
The best video of it you can see here:
http://www.savateworld.com
You follow the menu - Savate ->Introduction -> Techniques (and then choose some kicks or punches. But these techniques are school techniques - and in the ring they are much faster and stronger.
Chasse - piston kick - something like in karate yoko-geri - and you attack mostly legs. Very strong technique against static fighters who blocks kicks with legs (shins).
And now something about discipline savate:
It consist of 4 sub-disciplines:
1 - Boxe francaise - french boxing
1. version - light contact - ASSAUT
2. version - full contact - PRE-COMBAT (knockout not allowed,
protection allowed for shins, helmet )
3. version - full contact - COMBAT (free ride

)
2 - Canne de Combat - stick fighting
1. version - CANNE - light contact stick sparring with helmets
95 cm long stick 120 g weight. Very fast, atractive and dynamic
sport. In the past it was used in police, army etc.
2.version - BATON - contact stick sparring with longer stick 140 cm
3 - Savate defense - mostly used in French police but there are also
fighters who promoted savate defense - in UFC sport - Gerard
Gordeau (Netherland) (2. place in UFC 1) and Jerome Turcan (USA).
4 - Savate forme - Savate aerobics - differ from standard tae-bo because
it has more funcionality in its coreography, moves are conected in
combinations in moving., Hit in Canada, France, Finland, Belgium...
But dont forget - SAVATE spread in this part of Europe - just because Czech people started with teaching - Mr. Janicek was the first teacher for this part of Europe and he influnced Mr. Dragutin Schulze from Zagreb (Croatia) (Cro-Cop grandgrandfather

) in 1920 when Croatian Sokol movement started with SAVATE lessons.
1924 - Savate was introduced on Olympic Games in Paris
...if you can help me find historical data about Mr. Janicek from Prague - I would be very pleased. Thank you.
